Studio Fade Out
A smooth fade out that also rolls the high frequencies away as the level drops.
Fades the selection out with a smoother, more musical result than a plain fade. As well as a sinusoidal level fade, it applies a low-pass filter that sweeps down as the fade progresses — from the full spectrum at the start to around 100 Hz at the end — so the sound darkens as it recedes rather than simply getting quieter.
Where to find it
Effect → Fading → Studio fade out.
There are no settings to adjust: the fade always runs across the whole selection.
Notes
The effect is destructive and is applied to the selected audio, so make the selection cover exactly the stretch you want faded. For a fade whose shape and end level you can control, use Adjustable Fade instead.
