Pinned Playhead
Keep the playhead centred in the view and scroll the audio past it.
Changes how the view follows the playhead during playback and recording. With the playhead pinned, it is held in the centre of the view and the audio scrolls past it. With it unpinned, the playhead moves across a stationary view, and the view only scrolls when the playhead is about to run off the edge.
It is off by default, so the playhead moves and the view stays put until it has to catch up.
Where to find it
Right-click the timeline ruler and choose Pinned playhead. The item is checked while the playhead is pinned.
Notes
- This option only matters while Update display while playing is on. With that off, the view does not follow the playhead at all.
