Pluck
Generate a plucked-string note at a chosen MIDI pitch.
Generates a synthesised plucked-string note. It is useful for a quick tuning reference, a marker tone, or simple melodic parts built up one note at a time.

The Generate menu.
Controls
- Pluck MIDI pitch — 1 to 120, default 60. MIDI note numbers, so 60 is middle C and the other C notes are 36, 48, 72, 84 and 96.
- Fade-out type — Abrupt or Gradual. Abrupt is the default; Gradual lets the note ring on longer before dying away.
- Duration (60s max) — 0 to 60 seconds, default 1.
Notes
The generated note is normalised to a peak of about 0.8, so it will not clip however you set the pitch.
Like the other generators, it writes into the selected track at the cursor, or creates a new track if none is selected.
